However, the portal which Xehanort traveled was a corridor of darkness, which slowly began to infect his heart. He told Xehanort that he was a child of destiny and persuaded him to travel to Scala ad Caelum. The mysterious visitor was Ansem, Xehanort’s Heartless from the future. While exploring the island one day, he was approached by a cloaked figure. Similar to the trio, Xehanort dreamed of visiting and exploring other worlds. Xehanort was originally born on Scala ad Caelum, but grew up on Destiny Islands, just like Sora, Riku, and Kairi.
